Kristin’s Mary Kay journey began long before she became an Independent Beauty Consultant. It started in 1987, when her mother, Connie Kittson, signed her Independent Beauty Consultant Agreement and began building her own Mary Kay business. As a single mom, Connie worked her business with dedication while raising two young children. "Growing up pink," as they like to say, shaped Kristin and her brother Scott with lifelong lessons in integrity, discipline, personal responsibility, and leadership.

Kristin went on to study Communications and Business at Eastern Washington University, graduating with honors. After college, she worked for leadership author and speaker
John C. Maxwell for two years as a National Leadership Consultant, gaining invaluable experience in personal growth and leadership development.

In June of 2006, Kristin chose to begin building her own Mary Kay business under her mother’s mentorship. She quickly discovered that the principles she had grown up around—consistency, resilience, and servant leadership—translated directly into entrepreneurship. Through focused effort, long hours, and a deep commitment to serving customers and developing leaders, Kristin stepped into the role of Independent Sales Director within her first year. Her growth was not overnight, but the result of sustained work, perseverance, and a dedication to continuous improvement.

Kristin later advanced to the position of Independent National Sales Director—the highest leadership position within the independent Mary Kay sales force structure. In doing so, she and her mother became one of the few mother-daughter Independent National Sales Director teams in company history. Over time, through ongoing team production and leadership development, Kristin has earned the use of 12 Mary Kay Career Cars, including the Pink Cadillac Escalade.*

Throughout her career, Kristin has had the opportunity to serve as a guest trainer at Mary Kay events both in the United States and internationally, including Canada, the United Kingdom, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Asia Pacific, China, and Portugal. These experiences reflect years of leadership development and service within the Mary Kay community. Today, Kristin’s journey represents decades of consistency, teamwork, perseverance, and long-term leadership—built through hard work, faith, and an unwavering commitment to helping others grow.

When reflecting on her years with Mary Kay, Kristin said that she is grateful for all of the things her business
has allowed her to do, like:

In 2013, Kristin married the love of her life, Dr. Courtney Sharpe. They have made their home in Cumming, GA, with son Luke and daughter Lily. She loves that both of her children get the same incredible experience of
"growing up pink," just like she did.
